About the Author
Raised in the rugged landscapes of Northern Michigan, Michael was brought up with a deep respect for the natural world and a curiosity about life's deeper questions. His eclectic journey includes time as a pulp wood peeler, a semi-pro football player, a stonemason, a pharmacy manager, a sheetrock hanger, and a cemetery groundskeeper. These varied roles have shaped his unique perspective and enriched his writing with authenticity and depth.
Michael has a BFA from Brockport State University and an MFA from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Working as a skilled medical illustrator for over 30 years, he lives in Philadelphia with his wife and their rescue dog.
