The Falstaff Letters (1904)

The Falstaff Letters is a book written by James White and published in 1904. The book is a collection of letters that were supposedly written by the fictional character Sir John Falstaff, who appears in several of William Shakespeare's plays. The letters are addressed to various people, including Prince Hal (later King Henry V), and offer humorous insights into Falstaff's thoughts and experiences. The book is considered a literary hoax, as it is believed that White wrote the letters himself rather than them being authentic works of Shakespeare. Regardless, The Falstaff Letters remains a notable work of literary fiction and a fascinating glimpse into the world of one of Shakespeare's most beloved characters. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
