8vo. xii, 778 pp. Contemporary full brown morocco, gilt spine title, blind-tooled covers, raised bands, a.e.g., gilt inner dentelles, marbled endsheets. Early ownership signature of Cora Lee Clark, 1872; bookplate of John Hamilton Rice. Very good. This volume contains a split-double with two cricketing fore-edge paintings of a BOWLER and BATSMAN. Each painting is labelled on the scene itself. This fore-edge painting was commissioned by Harrington� s, with their cost-codes present. Painting attributed to Lindsay Brufton (not confirmed).
