About the Author

Kent R. Richards graduated from the University of Utah and has practiced as a general surgeon in Salt Lake City. He served as senior vice president at Intermountain Healthcare and was a clinical professor of surgery at the University of Utah School of Medicine. He presided over the Texas San Antonio Mission and, in 2009, was called as a General Authority. He currently serves in the Europe Area Presidency. He and his wife, Marsha, are the parents of eight children.
