A Family History of Ivy May

When Ivy May Cotter started her summer history project, she had no idea that her definition of family was about to change.

When their worst nightmare shows up on their front step, Ivy and her four siblings are forced to adapt to many changes - including living with the Bartholomews, a large foster family of historical reenactors. With the help of an old notebook and some coaching from the quirky historians around her, Ivy discovers that there is far more to history - and family - than she ever knew. Does the past define her, or can love and trust can help Ivy claim her identity as the author of her family history?

Growing out of themes of family, transformational love, and recovery from loss and trauma, this debut children's novel by Indi Raine will touch a part of your heart ... and might just encourage the reader to be grateful for the family that chooses to love them every day, no matter how it might be defined.
