Original 1/2 leather with marbled boards, backstrip torn, lacking top 5 cm. Back cover loose. Several leaves torn with no loss. 472 pp., including many full-page and text illustrations. This is a contemporary reprint of the issues of Volume V of this publication, the monthly issues from June 1837- May 1838, but without separate title pages or pagination for each issue.It was one of a number of what Mott classifies as "knowledge" magazines around this time.
