Gilt decorated cover edges and inner dentelles. Gilt rules on early boards, skillfully rebacked. Gilt decorated spine with gilt title on black title label. Raised bands. Marbled edges (a little faded) with matching eps. Rubbed boards, edges and corners. Some corners bumped. . The title page of the first volume has a neatly hand written gift inscription at the top of the page. Each volume has the hinges reinforced at the front and back. Boards have minor chips or marks. The text is very clear and clean and the paper is good quality. Whatever minor foxing there may be is only in the preliminaries. Size: Octavo.
