Your Family Tree (What Do You Know About? Books)

Attractive color illustrations and easy-to-follow text combine to present factual information that younger boys and girls will readily absorb and understand. Your Family Tree is one in a series of four entertaining books, for very young children. It describes all the people that small children first come to know: parents, brothers and sisters, grandparents, and cousins. Four pages presenting activities for children appear at the back of the book, followed by a two-page section for parents, with tips on explaining the subject in more detail.

(back cover)
A family tree is a diagram that shows your ancestors. They are the people in your family who were born before you arrived. These people are very special because they are part of your life and part of your own personal history. Draw a family tree diagram and glue pictures of your family members on its different branches. Place the oldest at the top and the youngest at the bottom. You and your brothers and sisters will be at the bottom. Next, write the name of each person beneath his or her picture. You have just made your own family tree!
