A small vintage booklet that accompanied an exhibit of fans shown at the Grolier Club in New York City from April 21 to May 5, 1891. Subtitled: "A brief history of its evolution. To accompany an Exhibition of Fans, mostly French, of the XVIIIth Century, illustrating the decorative art of that period as applied to fans." This appears to be an old original vintage item possibly from the original exhibit itself, not a current reprint. Illustrated in b/w with samples from the exhibition. Measures 4.5" x 7" with 21 pages; hand-knotted binding. In excellent condition with no marks of any kind, particularly for its age. SALE PRICE.
