Gibson is author of Fanon: The Postcolonial Imagination (2003), Fanonian Practices in South Africa (2011), and the co-author (with Roberto Beneduce) of Frantz Fanon, Psychiatry and Politics (2017). His edited collections on Fanon are Rethinking Fanon: The Continuing Dialogue (1999) and Living Fanon: Global Perspectives (2011), and Fanon and the Rationality of Revolt (2020). He teaches at Emerson College in Boston.
