Can wealth buy peace, or is every empire destined to crumble from within?

Winner: Category Fiction - Sueños Book of the Year (2026) | Recipient: Kafka's Plaque of Honour (2026)

In the glass towers of Mumbai, Siddharth Chand stands as a contemporary reflection of the ancient King Yayati. Having built a global empire through relentless ambition, he finds himself searching for something money cannot buy: inner peace.

His transformation begins long before he earns the title of corporate India's uncrowned 'Acquisition King'-sparked by an encounter with the timeless tale of King Lavana, whose brush with karmic justice forces Siddharth to confront the true cost of unbridled success.

Yet one question continues to haunt him: how can he pass on the wisdom earned through a lifetime of triumphs and mistakes? As Siddharth struggles to impose his designs on future generations, he discovers a sobering truth:

Wealth can be inherited, but wisdom cannot.

Every generation must learn its own lessons, make its own choices, and confront its own desires.

Blending contemporary realism with the enduring insights of Indian philosophy, The Fantasy of Legacy is a profound exploration of ambition, family, responsibility, and the ultimate vanity of accumulation.
