Fast Drafting for Travel Writers

If you’re a travel writer or travel blogger who wants to spend more time traveling and less time writing—this book is for you. Fast drafting is a is a way to capture your travel notes and memories more efficiently, so when it’s time to write your travel articles or books, you have a comprehensive recap of your trip to look back on. Like most travel bloggers, you take lots of photos and rely on your visual senses to trigger memories of your trip. But what if you had useful notes from your other senses that would streamline your writing efforts?

Not only would this save time, but it reduces the stress of having to remember memories that fade when they’re replaced with more recent evocative memories. Why stress trying to store these in your head, when you can adopt a more efficient fast drafting method?

I’ve accepted that I will never write daily blog posts during my travels. The only way I’ll create a sustainable note-taking habit is to use my fast drafting technique to capture sensory memory triggers.

Do you want to remember more evocative details from your travels? Then you should give fast drafting a try. It’s a two-part solution: Learning how to fast draft, then focusing on what to fast draft.

Once you’ve mastered this technique, you can spend more time traveling and less time writing.
