The book that started it all for Crowe, who went on to write 'Say Anything', 'Jerry Maguire', 'Singles' and 'We Bought a Zoo'. Full numberline to the "1" on the copyright page, althout the "pbk" line goes to the "2". Original price of $5.95 intact on rear cover. Contains the all-important "Soon to be a Motion Picture from Universal Studios" sticker on front! This second printing of the paperback was the first to feature the future movie announcement. Basis for the original teen angst film and 1980's classic of the same name. Movie starred Sean Penn, Judge Reinhold, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Phoebe Cates, Nicholas Cage and Forrest Whitaker among others. A staple of any collection of 1980's books.
