Ultimately David and Alex form an unlikely alliance against the hospital, its multibillion dollar owners and the corrupt attorneys who protect them. He endures what Alex calls his Penthouse deposition, and a never-ending assault on his reputation. With the trial just weeks away, David takes a ski trip and survives an assassination attempt.
