Investigators take the jury through local gay bars, a prominent car dealership, drug-dealing, cross dressing, drag shows and even onto the University of Kentucky campus. Vicini’s book, which was published by Pinnacle in 1994, sold 100,000 copies, and has been out of print since. The author has added a fascinating epilogue that will startle readers, old and new.

The year 2013 marks the 27th anniversary since Mike Turpin’s death as we near the 20th anniversary of the first printing of Fatal Seduction. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Kentucky, Rena Vicini started her career as an investigative journalist and courtroom trial reporter at a small daily newspaper. Soon the Lexington, Ky., native was writing for the Louisville Courier-Journal before returning to Lexington as a columnist and writer for the Lexington Herald-Leader. Vicini left the newspaper industry to accept a job as a Publications and PR Director for the University of Kentucky. When the Turpin murder occurred, Vicini worked on campus, which gave her unique access to several key characters in the book. She also has ghostwritten two other books.
