Item description from seller

Stapled stiff wrapps., lt. green/black, cover has sl. discoloration, inside front cover had apparently originally adhered to facing page. 239pp., sl. tanned. Very tight copy. Starting in the early 1930s, Father Coughlin was one of the first political leaders to make use of radio to reach a mass audience; an estimated 30 million people listened to his weekly broadcasts. Originally a supporter of FDR and the New Deal, Coughlin's populism became increasingly pro-Fascist and anti-Semitic, and his show was cancelled in 1939.
