The rear inside cover states and upcoming publication date of September 5, 1940 with a retail price of $2.50. Exterior shows scuffing and soiling along with edge and corner bumps/wear. The back cover has numerous light scratch marks. Internal binding is good, no hinge issues. The end pages inside covers show a lot of spotting and soiling and there is a faint penciled price that was written in the corner and then later erased. No other markings found in the book, no bookplates, no library markings, no remainder marks. The book is a bit grubby and worn but is in good shape for reading purposes.
