Early green cloth, lettered in gilt on the spine (original printed tan front wrapper bound in place), lg 4to (13 x 9 1/2 inches). Mémoires du Comité Géologique, volume IV, no. 3. The text is presented in both German and in Russian. This volume presents the lower Devonian fauna on the eastern slope of the Ural Mountains. From the research library of paleontologist Brian F. Glenister with his signature on the front endpaper. Earlier this volume was owned by 'Shaw' with his name in gilt at the base of spine. The front wrapper, which is chipped and a bit browned, has been professional encased (similar to lamination) in clear material to preserve it; the text, plates and cloth binding are bright and clean, a tight, very good copy.
