A very scarce book of popular fairy tales in Father Tuck's 'Golden Gift' series edited by Edric Vredenburg. Dated via Jisc. A very scarce work, listed in only two institutional libraries including the Manchester Metropolitan University and the National Trust Libraries.Featuring children's classics such as 'Beauty and the Beast,' 'Tom Thumb,' 'The Babes in the Wood,' and 'Puss in Boots' among others.Illustrated with colourful frontispiece and further illustrations in text, some printed in colour red, blue, green, or orange. In the original publisher's quarter cloth binding over printed boards. Externally with bumping to extremities of spine and boards, minor loss to head of spine. Boards lightly marked. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean. Good.
