A Fear Not for Every Day: 365 Devotionals

Fear is sweeping our nation, and yet there is very little we can do about the problems that looms so much on the landscape of our culture. Fear is a crippling poisonous emotion that drains our energy, hinders our faith, and saps our hope. The Bible holds the answer to fear. It is faith, and paradoxically, fear in the Lord God Almighty and His Son, Jesus Christ. When we fear the Lord, we lose our other fears. Chris Boelter speaks to the issue of fear because she knows all about this problem. As an exceptionally gifted Bible teacher, speaker and counselor, she has been tested in the furnace of difficulty and emerged with a glowing testimony of God’s faithfulness. This book traces the phrase "the fear of the Lord" and the word "fear" through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, speaking to the subject of the right kind of fear and the wrong kind of fear in 365 devotionals, one for every day of the year. Drawn from stories of Chris' background and life, these devotionals will stir your heart, give you hope, and lead you closer to the Lord in your walk with Him. Chris has teamed up to write this book with and exceptionally gifted novel writer, Virginia Ann Work, who has spent all of her life serving God and writing stories. She brings a wealth of knowledge, skill, and devotion to this book and raises it above the average with her biblical insights and love for the Lord.

Chris Boelter grew up in a small town in Wisconsin of Armenian ethnic background and married her husband, Bob, who then attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL. After his graduation, he began a ministry to young people from the projects while Chris taught a women's Bible study in Cabrini Green. After thirteen years, they moved to Pennsylvania, where Bob was again active in youth work with endangered teens on the streets. Together they operated an inner city mission, and she taught a Bible class to over 400 people. In 2000, Bob had a severe cardiac arrest that left him not only brain damaged, but with a damaged heart, as well. They moved to Arizona, where after seven years, Chris began a ministry of teaching the Word of God to women all across America. As a mother to three children and six grandchildren, Chris' insights will warm your heart and encourage your faith in a fearful world.
