Fear

Tobias has never known anything but Freak Camp, the brutal government prison for supernatural creatures. He's only managed to survive this long in hopes that he might become a monster worthy of Jake, the hunter who promised to save him.

Jake kept his promise, and Tobias is ready for anything Jake wants him to do—except to pretend he’s a human.

Jake’s mission to rescue Tobias from Freak Camp is a dream come true, even though it cost him the only family member he had left. But the hardest part is over.

Then all their dreams of a life together crash against cold reality. Jake doesn’t know Tobias as well as he thought, or why Tobias is so afraid of him, and he doesn’t have the first clue how to help.

Maybe Tobias doesn’t belong in Jake's world. But if not, where does he belong?

FEAR is the second book in the A Monster By Any Other Name series. Readers may skip book 1 and start with this book if they prefer not to read the horrors of Freak Camp in detail. Please take note that FEAR includes references to past sexual and physical abuse, torture, and neglect of children. This series is the slowest of burns, but each book comes with a happy for now / happily ever after.
