About the Author

Joseph E. Champoux is an accomplished instructor, researcher, and author. He is a Professor of Management at the Robert O. Anderson Schools of Management of The University of New Mexico, USA. Champoux earned a B.S. and M.S. at San Diego State University and a Ph.D. in Administration at the University of California, Irvine. He is also a faculty member of the World Leisure and Recreation Association International Center of Excellence (WICE), The University of Wageningen, Wageningen, The Netherlands. Champoux has taught in Mexico and Brazil and teaches annually at the Ecole Sup rieure de Commerce, Le Havre and Caen, France. Champoux has published 27 articles in journals such as Decision Sciences, Academy of Management Journal, Human Relations, Administrative Science Quarterly, Personnel Psychology, and the Journal of Organizational Behavior. He has authored or co-authored 6 book chapters and 5 books. His current research activities focus on film as a teaching resource. He is examining various film genre for scenes that show various organizational behavior and management concepts. Champoux is developing a set of film-based teaching materials that will be available from South-Western College Publishing in mid-2000.
