Are You Feeling Stuck?: Captivity Is a Real Place

Have you ever felt like you have incredible talents, gifts, and promises that you just can’t seem to tap into? Do you ever feel like you are called to do greater exploits than you do? Do you realize there is a spiritual phenomenon that can actually block you and keep you from stepping into the fullness of your identity? Yes! We can think of this phenomenon as spiritual captivity.Often as children we unknowingly react to pain and trauma in a way that may cause us to end up locked away from all things lovely. We may actually decide in our spirits that this world is too painful and untrustworthy, and we choose to escape.Unfortunately, the place(s) we escape to are dark and dank in comparison to even an unjust world. But there is a way out, and this book will show you the way. Don’t stay hidden any longer and miss out on a single second of who you are created to be. In Freedom!Isaiah 61 reminds us Jesus has come to set the captives free. In this book, we will look at what spiritual captivity is like, how to recognize it, and how to break free of the lies and inner vows that keep us in captivity. We will learn how to invite Jesus in, what that prayer process looks like, and how to help each other break free. After looking at each step of the process and how to pray along the way, then we will walk through the entire process of inviting Jesus to set us free from captivity, just as Isaiah 61 promises.
