Fourteenth impression from 1965 of the First edition which was originally published in July 1954. Staining to boards in a number of places with rubbing to the corners and along the edges. Page edges browned with patches of staining particularly to the bottom edges and at the bottom corners and there is staining to the bottom corners of the pages in the first half of the book. Light spotting and staining to the endpapers. The pages are a little browned and have a slight musty smell but they are generally otherwise unmarked. The jacket has quite a bit of surface wear and discolouration with tearing along most of the length of the left edge of the rear panel. Chipping and tearing at the corners with some loss and there is wear along the right edge of the front panel. Map attached to rear free endpaper has one small stain but is otherwise in very good condition.
