The Fiction Principle (Paperback)

Paperback. The Fiction Principle: Toward a Physics Beyond Fundamental Causality proposes a speculative framework in which causality, time, space, and physical laws are not fundamental, but instead emerge from how observers reconstruct reality from limited information. The author argues that the universe is fundamentally a timeless informational substrate, and that observers create causal narratives as an efficient way to compress and interpret information. The manuscript develops a mathematical framework describing observer-dependent reconstruction, then reinterprets quantum mechanics, general relativity, thermodynamics, and cosmology as emergent consequences of this informational process rather than fundamental features of nature. It also outlines potential experimental predictions and emphasizes that the theory is speculative, requiring further mathematical development and empirical testing before it can be considered a scientific theory.
