About the Author

Jos� Bell Lara is Professor and Consultant of the University of Havana and researcher of the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO-Cuba). He has authored and co-authored numerous texts about Cuba and Latin America, including those in the series Documentos de la Revoluci�n Cubana 1959-1970: Cuba: la generaci�n revolucionaria 1952-1961; Cuba: las mujeres en la insurrecci�n 1952-1961; Combatientes; and Cuba: per�odo especial.

Tania Caram Le�n is a Professor at the University of Havana and researcher of the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO-Cuba).
