A Field Guide to the Mammals of Australia Menkhorst, Peter and Knight, Frank

The only truly comprehensive guide to all 376 Australian mammals, including kangaroos, koala, bandicoots, dunnarts, Bilbies, cuscuses, possums, wombats, bats, rodents, deer, seals, whales, and dolphins. The guide uses the classic field guide layout, including 4-color illustrations drawn by Australia's premier artist, Frank Knight, diagrams to help distinguish similar species, measurements, distribution maps, and accurate details of appearance, diagnostic features, habitat, and key behavioral characteristics. Simplicity and organization makes this a perfect guide for tourists, bush walkers, and students.

He has participated in fauna surveys in many parts of Australia and has worked in wildlife research and management in Victoria for thirty-five years.
