Spanning settings from the Colorado Rockies to Nantucket, New Hampshire, Venezuela, Rome, and Cuba, these thirteen tales of dark adventure explore disquieting journeys of self-discovery. The collection features diverse characters?including guides, scientists, and mountaineers?navigating the friction between human choices and their consequences. Key themes include coming of age, altered states, moral slippage, romantic jealousy, and the tension between solitude and the natural world. Please see our other hunting, fishing, and natural history titles.
