Synopsis
Engel and Phummai (both live in Thailand: Engel is a landscape architect who studied in Japan, Phummai is a civil engineer) have collaborated to produce a comprehensive field guide to (mainly Southeast) Asia's tropical plants. The guide is divided into trees, shrubs, vines, and bedding plants, with cross listing for many plants by flower, fruit, and foliage. Each plant is depicted in a color photo with a short description, its Latin name, and the name used in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. Annotation c.
