About the Author
Kurt Johnson is a naturalist, author, and photographer with a passion for the natural world of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. He has been fascinated by wildlife since he was a young boy and even claimed (at age four) that his professional aspirations were to grow up to be a monkey. This has yet to be achieved, but along the way he has studied wildlife all over the world, including four years organizing and leading safaris in Kenya and Baja, Mexico. As the owner of Wild Things of Wyoming, Kurt has offered premier wildlife excursions in Yellowstone and Grand Teton for over 20 years as well as teaching photography and leading astronomy programs. Wild Things' home base is this ecosystem, but he is always excited to offer extraordinary safaris in other regions, including Glacier National Park, Alaska, Iceland, the Southwest, India, and Africa.
