During his long career as an executive with a major international corporation, Robert Mueller developed a love of travel and an enthusiasm for visiting historic locations. Retirement brought him the opportunity to visit and study the battlefields of Europe. He has written six visitor guides to the battlefields of Northern Europe and Hawaii under the Fields of War imprint. The titles have garnered eleven national book awards including being twice honored by the Military Writers Society of America. His descriptive format brings the history, significance, and people of the battlefield to life. Mr Mueller has also written a comprehensive article for WW II History magazine. Robert Mueller holds advanced degrees in physics and business administration. Following military service in the US Army Signal Corps during the Vietnam era. Mr Mueller is a member of the Midwest Writers Association, the Chicago Writers Association, and the Military Writers Society of America.
