About the Author

M.N. Srinivas is Formerly Senior Fellow in the Sociology Unit at the Institute for Social and Economic Change in Bangalore. A.M. Shah is a Former Professor of Sociology at the Delhi School of Economics. E.A. Ramaswamy is Management Consultant and Former Professor of Sociology at the Delhi School of Economics.
