Fifth Grade Science Experiments

Learning science is about more than just memorizing facts—it’s about exploring, asking questions, and discovering how the world works. This workbook gives children the chance to do exactly that, with more than 40 hands-on experiments and activities designed to make science engaging and approachable.

Inside, young learners will explore a wide range of topics, including:

• Scientific investigation and how to think like a scientist

• Matter and the ways it changes

• Energy and electricity in everyday life

• The role of light and how it behaves

• The human body and its systems

• Organisms, life cycles, and reproduction

• Weather patterns and how they shape the world

• Earth science and the processes that change our planet

Each activity is written in a clear, step-by-step style that encourages curiosity while reinforcing core science concepts. The experiments are designed to be practical, using materials that are commonly found at home or in the classroom, so children can focus on learning rather than gathering supplies.

This workbook can be used as part of a homeschooling curriculum, as extra practice alongside traditional schooling, or simply as a fun way for kids to explore science on their own. The activities are flexible, making them useful for a wide range of ages and learning styles.

Created in collaboration with teachers and parents, this resource was designed with the goal of making science accessible without unnecessary complexity or cost. Every page is built to spark interest, encourage critical thinking, and help children see science as something they can understand and enjoy.
