She writes frequently about consumer law issues for magazines and websites from her home near Buffalo, New York.

Edward A. Haman received his bachelor's degree from Western Michigan University and his law degree from the University of Toledo. He has practiced law in Florida, Michigan and Hawaii, and has served as a Michigan Circuit Court domestic relations hearing officer. He has written many self-help law books, including How to Write Your Own Living Will and How to File Your Own Bankruptcy.
