A fascinating mystery which includes everything you need to know to solve this crime: telegrams, handwritten letters, photos, cigar ashes, confetti, many police reports, and a final closing report and jury verdict, the seal of which has been opened, so don't go beyond the warning unless you are ready with your own guess. The orange paper wrappers are sadly worn (see scan) but they have taken the brunt of the storm, as the pages are in very good shape, with just a bit of browning to the extreme edges on a few of the leaves (quite minimal.) As stated on the cover: "This file contains the complete dossier of a crime, with every clue and item of evidence preserved in its, original, physical form, exactly as it might have been received at Police Headquarters. The crime was a murder. The police solved it. Can you?" This Crimefile #2 is based on the finding of a corpse, which then turns out to be Rufus Ray. The covers, as noted, aren't pretty, but the interior is quite nice. We are guessing that the name on address on the front are added, but with this book, who knows!
