He received the title of Punong Guro (Master Instructor) and the highest rank in the school: Black Belt 10th Degree in Arnis Doblete Rapilon. He is one of the very few non-Filipinos to be recognized by Filipino masters in the Philippines as a representative of a major traditional system.
