Film Actors Guide (Film Actors Directory)

Includes: Credits, releasing company and date, contact information, index of names by actor and actress, index of agents and managers, academy awards and nominations by year and person.

This is the ninth in a series of similarly formatted titles (e.g., Michael Singer's Film Directors: A Complete Guide , 2d ed., LJ 5/1/84). It lists the credits of actors and actresses who currently appear in films and TV or who have appeared within the last ten years. (Those who have performed only on TV are excluded.) For each performer, all known film and TV-movie credits are provided, including studio and date of release, as well as name and phone number of agents in some cases. Sporadically, real names and birthdates are given. Indexes include Academy Award nominations and full addresses of talent agencies. The primary intent of this work seems to be as an industry employment directory, and the credits are incomplete, but its currency makes it a useful purchase for larger libraries.
