The book also incorporates theoretical material, includes feminist theory and the female spectator, and the arguments have been revised throughout to take account of recent developments in film and cultural theory and changing trends in cinema.

About the Author

Graeme Turner is Professor of Cultural Studies in the Department of English at Queensland University. He is the editor of Nation, Culture Text: Australian Cultural and Media Studies (1993) and British Cultural Studies: An Introduction (1990).
