Find Me at the Friend Tree

Find Me at the Friend Tree is a beautifully written, heart-centered chapter book about friendship, faith, and the courage to belong.

When three ten-year-olds from different cultures—Ayo, Mei, and Lucas—each carrying quiet struggles from school, home, and their neighborhoods, discover the same apple tree in a field of daffodils, their lives begin to change. What starts as a place to escape becomes a place to heal.

Beneath the branches of the “Friend Tree,” the children learn to trust one another, face challenges together, and discover that differences are not barriers—but blessings. Through laughter, storms, loss, and hope, their friendship grows into a living reminder that no one is meant to walk alone.

Rooted in Christian values and inspired by biblical themes of love, unity, and belonging, Find Me at the Friend Tree gently points young readers to Christ—the ultimate Friend—while celebrating diversity, compassion, and community. As the garden grows, so does a powerful message: heaven has no divisions, and friendship is sacred.
