Finding Gideon

An epic story of big dreams, hard falls, and the faith to keep going. If you've ever wondered what it's like to thunder down a track on the back of a Thoroughbred, this is your chance.

It was my junior year of college when I left home to chase a dream of riding racehorses. The horse I loved more than life rode in the horse trailer and my dog Sandi was curled into a ball in the backseat when I drove to Louisville. Within two weeks I was galloping down the track on young Thoroughbreds, impressing trainers with my bravery and skill. But soon, piece by piece, it began to crumble. An accident on a somersaulting racehorse landed me in the hospital, and my beloved horse Gideon went missing. Holding onto the dream, and my faith, was like grabbing water by the fistful and watching it slip between my fingers.

If you were captivated by the classic racing novel Seabiscuit by Laura Hillenbrand or the movie Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken, then you’ll love Finding Gideon.
