A few years ago, while taking a break from my volunteer church duties, I decided to simply seek God. I threw out all I had come to believe and started over. I felt compelled to keep a journal and, as a result, developed an interest in writing. As I felt I was making good progress, God saw fit to accelerate that progress with an intense storm. It was not pleasant, but in it, I found Him. I had worked for Him, but now I was learning to walk with Him.
