Finding the Lost Years of Jesus: A Christian Approach

In this fascinating work of biblical and historical scholarship, author Daryn Graham offers readers a glimpse into the life of Jesus between the ages of thirteen and thirty—years largely ignored by the authors of the New Testament.

Unlike those claiming to receive extra-canonical information by divine revelation, Graham meticulously researches the customs and practices of first century Jews to present readers with a picture of Jesus’s daily life while growing from a boy into a man. He also relies on clues and allusions in the text of the Bible itself, expounding on references that even faithful readers tend to gloss over or ignore due to a lack of historical, cultural, and linguistic context.

Not only does Graham present a fascinating and biblically consistent vision of how young Jesus probably lived his life, he also debunks popular modern theories by comparing their claims to those contained in the Bible.

With careful scholarship, faithful interpretation of the Bible, and a heart desiring to honor God’s word, Graham crafts a book that will delight anyone who loves Jesus or biblical history—and wants to know more about both.

Daryn Graham studies ancient history and is a doctoral candidate at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia.

The author of many articles for Archaeological Diggings Magazine and other scholarly publications, Graham is also a lay preacher at Hawkesbury District Presbyterian Church. He lives in South Windsor, New South Wales, Australia.
