Finding the New Testament: An Introductory Course in New Testament Textual Criticism

Finding the New Testament? Not much of a problem, some might think. We often use our New Testament with little or no thought about the reliability of the text. But the reality is that the Greek manuscripts which preserve the text contain thousands of variants. Students of the New Testament need to know how to respond to this fact. Where do we find the New Testament in the midst of the vast amount of data? In this book Graham Simpson offers an introduction to the subject for classroom use. This is not an area in which you will become an instant expert, but here is a guide that will point you in the right direction.

Graham Simpson, MA, MTh, PhD, has had more than two decades experience teaching in Bible colleges and seminaries in India and Nepal, and other countries in the region. He holds a PhD in Greek language from the University of Sydney, and is an ordained minister of the Anglican Church of Australia. Though still teaching occasionally in India, he is now retired, and lives with his wife Heather in Canberra, Australia. He is also the author of A Student's Guide to New Testament Greek, published by SAIACS Press.
