Finding a Voice: Identity and the Works of German-Language Turkish Writers in the Federal Republic of Germany to 1990 (American University Studies)

The perspective and the experiences of the Turks in the Federal Republic of Germany is the focus of Finding a Voice, which considers the perception and reception of their works by the native German population. The book examines not only the arrival of this literature, but the variety of the Turkish writers' works, as well as the marketing and demand for the literature, its intent, and its place in the modern German literary scene.
