Finding My Voice

Finding My Voice is a raw and powerful memoir about survival, silence, and the courage it takes to reclaim one's truth.

In this deeply personal survivor story, Heidi Craig shares her experience of childhood abuse and the lasting impact it carried into adulthood. Written with honesty and emotional clarity, the book explores trauma recovery and how early harm shapes identity, relationships, and self-worth long after the abuse has ended. Craig examines the ways silence is learned, reinforced, and internalized, and what it means to finally begin healing.

This is not a story about what was taken. It is a story about what was reclaimed.

With compassion and strength, Craig writes about motherhood, betrayal, loss, and the slow rebuilding of trust. She reveals how recovery is rarely linear, but shaped by choice, self-reflection, and resilience. Rather than offering easy answers, Finding My Voice creates space for recognition, connection, and understanding.

Finding My Voice offers validation without judgment and hope without minimizing pain. It speaks directly to survivors while also inviting readers who seek a deeper understanding of the long-term effects of trauma. This memoir honors the complexity of healing and affirms that transformation is possible, even after profound harm.

This book will resonate with readers drawn to personal nonfiction, survivor stories, and narratives centered on trauma recovery and resilience. Finding My Voice is a testament to the power of telling one's story and the freedom that comes with finally being heard.
