This is a book that does not deny the valid presence of struggle in our lives but rather encourages the viewpoint that there is indeed a healthy way to struggle—one that accepts the closeness of God, the process that is recovery, and the joy to which we are being called. Seeing recovery from the inside out, the author is able to share how to embrace the struggle while also accepting the outstretched hand of God.

Charles Determan Sr. is an independent Christian Philosopher and graduate of Marquette University, B.A. Psychology. Recently completed 1 year of study at John Calvin Theological seminary with an emphasis in Pastoral Care. Married to Jennifer and has 3 children and 4 grandchildren. Presently works in the manufacturing sector and is active in his Church and Recovery community.
