Jack Kirby, often called “The King of Comics,” was one of the most influential creators in the history of the medium. After co-creating much of the Marvel Universe, Kirby brought his boundless imagination to DC Comics in the 1970s, where he launched the Fourth World saga—a sprawling, interconnected mythos of gods, monsters, and revolution. With characters like Darkseid, Orion, Mister Miracle, and Big Barda, Kirby redefined superhero storytelling with bold visuals, cosmic stakes, and philosophical depth.
