Many Christians are exactly where the enemy wants them to be: weak, powerless, and defeated. Weak and powerless Christians cannot benefit the Kingdom of God, nor can they do much damage to the kingdom of Satan. In this book, Fred Stone challenges the Believer not to stay in that condition. Every born-again Believer in Christ has the authority and power through the Holy Spirit to witness and spread the gospel; to experience signs, wonders, and miracles; to see deliverance and answers to prayers; to receive revelation to know the mind of God; to know the reason behind difficulty and strife; to be warned in advance of trouble on the horizon; to defeat the plans of the enemy; and to live victoriously in these last days. This book is divided into three sections: the first section is the personal life story of Fred Stone. He tells of the difficult life his family experienced growing up in the coal mining town of Bartley, West Virginia and of how he was called to preach shortly after accepting Christ as a teenager. The second section explains the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit, using personal ministry stories to provide a modern-day explanation of each of the nine gifts. Section three contains questions and answers, along with a scriptural study guide. Stone answers questions that are often asked by people who are not familiar with the teaching of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. For example: Does the Bible teach that tongues have ceased? How can a person tell what is real and what is counterfeit? How do you judge manifestations of the Holy Spirit? How can you learn to listen to the Holy Spirit? Why do some churches teach that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is not for today? Why do we not see more of the power of God in our lives and churches today? The stories that Fred Stone shares in this book read like the book of Acts. When you start reading this book, you will not want to put it down. His stories, along with his explanation of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit, will inspire you and ignite a fire in your heart to grow stronger in the Lord. If you long for a restoration of the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit in your life and in the body of Christ, this book is for you.
