Fire Your Friends

You've heard it been said that you are the culmination of the five people you spend the most time with. What you probably haven't heard as often is that those five people should change throughout your life. Think about it this way: If you were going to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, you are not going to reach the summit in one uninterrupted effort. You will have a group of experts take you to "Base Camp" where you need to stay for a period of time to have your body acclimate to the thinner air and the higher altitude. Once you body assimilates, there is a different group of "sherpas" that take you to the next plateau because they have a different skill set. They know where the hidden dangers are and can elevate you to new heights. That is the metaphor of using "sherpas" throughout your life to help you reach your own personal summit. "Fire Your Friends" takes you on a journey of examining your life and providing a roadmap on finding your five to change your life.
