Synopsis
Walk in Andrea's shoes as she battles small minds in a small town. A story of manipulation, power, and revenge, it tells how a group of rogue administrators and their cohorts use their powers to bully, harass, and intimidate targeted students and staff. It tells how the code of silence protects child molesters, incompetent educators and much more. What's at stake? A quality education and the well being of students and staff? Andrea, a professional counselor, who has high expectations of herself and others, walks into the fire. Can she blend into a culture entrenched in a code of silence, while maintaining her code of ethics? Or will this drummer, a person who will not compromise excellence and truth for mediocrity, give up and run away?
About the Author
BL Poole was born in the state of GA. Upon graduation from college, she married and moved with her husband to PA, where they had two children. She earned three degrees: Morris Brown College (BA), Millersville University (M.ED), and Georgia Southern University, (Ed.S). As a veteran educator, Poole was a guidance counselor and she also taught elementary, middle and high school in the states of GA, VA, MD, and PA. Her focus on creating, implementing, and working in school and community youth programs, has not only enriched the lives of many young people, but her life as well. Poole's varied experiences provide the inspiration and insight for her stories. Writing is beyond enjoyable for Poole. She wants her books to inform, motivate, inspire, and send positive, universal messages. In The Drummer series, walk in the main character's shoes as she battles her way through the fires of character assassination, manipulation, threats, sabotage, lies, etc. Will this drummer, a gladiator for truth, be able to walk through the fire unscathed or will she run like so many before her?
